Formed in 1947, The Cullen Foundation has over a half century history of giving generously to the educational needs, health care and arts in Texas, primarily in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

Since inception in 1947, The Cullen Foundation has made charitable distributions of $388 million.

Included in those charitable distributions are $130 million in grants made to endow various "Cullen" Endowments and Trusts; these Endowments and Trusts have and will continue to generate additional distributions of their own each year, similar to the "compounding" effect of an investment.  These various Cullen Foundation Endowments and Trusts today have an approximate market value of over $543 million and have made cumulative distributions since their own funding by The Cullen Foundation of almost $254 million.  To view a schedule of these various Trusts and Endowments and their distributions, click here.

Therefore, The Cullen Foundation, which has a market value today of approximately $286 million, has been directly or indirectly responsible for charitable distributions totaling approximately $642 million.
